More About the Family Supper Project

Life is BUSY! Let’s be honest, these days it’s HARD to create space to make and enjoy healthy meals together as a family.  In the midst of the craziness, are we missing something? Is there a way to return to some of the simpler things in life that we be may sorely lacking in our instant, fast-paced, technology infused world? Things like family, friends, face-to-face connection, nutrition that doesn’t come in the form of a powder you mix in, nourishment that feeds the body and the soul…

I can’t help but wonder if a return to family suppers just might bring about a seismic shift in our quality of life. However you define family (friends, blood relatives, housemates etc.), Nourishing Foundations aims to bring people together to experience connection and nourishment over healthy, nutritional food.
I just stumbled across  Anne K. Fishel’s book Home for Dinner: Mixing Food, Fun, and Conversation for a Happier Family and Healthier Kids and have reserved it at my local library. I’m looking forward  to reading this!
In the meantime, thought I’d share some gems I came across based on this book. Enjoy!
